Bahamas Recap

Planning a warm getaway in the middle of our WV winter was hands down the best decision we’ve made (other than saying “I do” 😉). This was our first trip to the Bahamas and it definitely didn’t disappoint! Sharing an overview of our trip below!

Stay

We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. It was super nice that there was so much to do/see/and eat on property that we never had to leave our resort.

Eat

There are over 30 dining options at the Grand Hyatt so Jeff and I frequently caught ourselves in the “Where do you wanna eat” dilemma daily.

My favorite morning spots for coffee + a breakfast treat were Cafe Madeline (best quiche ever) and The Library.

We kept it casual most days for lunch and ate at The Palms restaurant by the pools or one of the colorful airstream trailers (think food trucks) that offered anything you could ever want from tacos, sliders, salads, poke bowls, and ice cream.

Our favorite dinner spot was Fi’lia which is an Italian Restaurant with the prettiest decor & relaxing vibe.

Play

Though we spent many hours lounging on the beach and soaking up the rays, we enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding and strolling the beach right behind the resort. There’s also tons of cute shops and boutiques scattered throughout the property to browse around!

Much of the main floor is occupied by a huge casino where we had a little fun in the evenings. I joked that Jeff would intentionally get sunburnt on the first day so he would have an excuse to spend all his time in there! Lol

We had a wonderful, warm, relaxing trip and I strongly recommend planning a sunshine getaway to beat the cold winter blues! Where’s your favorite warm weather spot?
