Trader Joe’s Haul

We live in West Virginia, one of only eight states that does not have a Trader Joe’s! Luckily, they have a store in Pennsylvania that is about an hour and a half away from home that we can road trip to to stock up on some of our favorites. We typically don’t purchase much from the fresh produce section because we can get many of those items from our local grocery store, however, we do stroll through to see if there’s any seasonal fruits or veggies that we might not be able to find easily in WV such as kobucha squash and purple sweet potatoes.

We compiled many of our favorites from our most recent Trader Joe’s trip to share with you as well as a few seasonal items you or your guests might enjoy over the holiday season!

We love to set the table with fresh flowers as a centerpiece. Trader Joe’s always has a big selection of the prettiest blooms!

Meals

These cauliflower gnocchi are a favorite of ours and a quick and easy dinner! Top with your favorite marinara sauce as a healthy lower-carb alternative to the traditional Italian dish.
Lexi also loves the sweet potato gnocchi. Elayna and her husband Matt are big fans of the gorgonzola gnocchi.
We love this low-carb alternative to fried rice! To add a protein boost, scramble an egg to add in and for some extra flavor, add liquid aminos or low sodium soy sauce.
For a more traditional fried rice, this version packs all the flavor + chicken with much less sodium than other varieties sold in the frozen section.
New item we’re looking forward to trying!
This seasoning is soo good on egg + avocado toast!!

Snack Attack

These crackers are a great addition to a charcuterie board and are so good dipped in the Trader Joe’s Everything but the Bagel Greek Style Yogurt Dip (pictured below)
Delicious dip for fresh veggies, pita bite crackers, and pretzels.
Highly addictive and so good to eat with pretzels. Pre-portion this as a snack or you might find yourself at the bottom of the container in no time!
Lexi’s favorite is Watermelon Wonder Kombucha and Elayna’s favorite is Gingerade Kombucha.

Sweet Stuff

Dark Chocolate Mini Peanut Butter Cups! The best combo invented!
These 100 calorie portioned bars are nice to have on hand when the craving for something sweet kicks in to prevent from over indulging!
They had samples of this out and oh. my. gosh.. It is sooo tasty! The Danish Kringle is not a frequent buy for us, however it is delicious and a nice thing to have at the house around the holidays when having guests. You can freeze it and easily pull it out for a quick and tasty treat.

Hair

This hair mask leaves our hair feeling so silky and smooth!
