99% of the time we are drinking black coffee, however, in the month of December, it is a must to treat yourself to at least one Peppermint Mocha a.k.a. Christmas in a cup! Our personal favorite coffee is the Pike Place roast from Starbucks but during the holiday season, it is much more tempting to sip on a festive drink. We wanted to share a few tips to make your holiday drink a little less indulgent:
- Request non-fat milk, coconut milk, or almond milk as a substitute for the 2% standard.
- Ask for fewer pumps or the sugar-free alternative syrup in your drink OR skip out on the syrup and flavor your drink with spices such as cinnamon, vanilla, nutmeg, and cocoa.
- Opt for no whip or request little whip if you must to cut back on calories.
- Downsize to a tall to enjoy the limited edition drinks without the guilt.
